• Is their private space? If you are considering roommates, make sure you have enough private space, like your own bedroom. A private bath is also optimum. If the community has areas for group study that can also add value.
• How is maintenance and tenant service handled? An on-site management team is a real plus when problems occur.
• What type of lease is offered? Individual leases that make each roommate responsible for their share of the lease are the best option. Ask if they are available.
